Sales Engineer – Water & Wastewater Solutions

About the role

The Water and Wastewater Sales Engineer drives commercial growth of water treatment technologies by combining engineering expertise with sales acumen. You will assess client needs, design optimal treatment solutions, and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical proposals, including technology selection, process flow diagrams, mass‑balance calculations and equipment sizing.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across municipal, industrial and commercial sectors.
• Prepare commercial quotations, review technical specifications and ensure profitability and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct technical presentations, lead site feasibility assessments and address client queries to close sales.
• Collaborate with internal project engineering and delivery teams to ensure smooth hand‑over from awarded sale to execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering.
• 5–8 years of technical sales experience in the water and wastewater industry.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes such as RO, UF, ETP and related chemicals.
