Sales Engineer – Wood Products

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Sales Engineer to promote and sell wood, veneer, chipboard and related processing services to contractors, interior designers and other project stakeholders in Riyadh. The role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse market projects, identify potential opportunities and propose alternative specifications.
• Coordinate with site project management, QC, consultants and the document‑control team to prepare and obtain approvals for material submittals.
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals, follow up quotations and close sales.
• Provide technical advice on product selection, specifications and applications during client meetings and site visits.
• Maintain weekly visit plans, submit reports and hand over client samples as required.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and project pipelines to support strategic pricing.

Required profile

• Civil or Architectural Engineering degree or related field (minimum 3 years experience in technical sales or sales engineering).
• Proven experience in building‑materials or interior‑fit‑out sectors.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel locally for site visits.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of wood, veneer, chipboard and related processing services (stitching, pressing, sanding).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with common office software and CRM tools for reporting and pipeline management.
