School Nurse (Urgent Hiring)

About the role

Alleanza Healthcare MENA, a US healthcare services provider operating in the UAE, is recruiting a full-time School Nurse for a school in Abu Dhabi. The nurse supports students' health and well-being through routine health checks, responding to illness and injury, and managing acute and long-term conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine health checks, respond to illness and injury, administer medication and provide first aid
• Manage acute and long-term conditions
• Keep health records up to date and monitor immunisation and screening requirements
• Work with families, school staff and healthcare providers when needed
• Encourage healthy habits, support school health policies and contribute to emergency plans and health and safety procedures on campus

Required profile

• Nursing and school health experience, able to manage students' health needs and help maintain a safe learning environment
• Strong clinical assessment skills, including experience caring for children and adolescents
• Valid nursing licence or registration, with eligibility to practise in the UAE
• Experience in school nursing, paediatric nursing or community health is an advantage
• Clear communication with students, families, school staff and healthcare providers
• Good organisational skills, including maintaining accurate records and meeting reporting and regulatory requirements
• Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and culturally sensitive care in a diverse school community

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and emergency response training
• Advanced life support certification is an advantage
