Senior Account Manager, Oil & Gas

About the role

Cognite, a global leader in industrial software with its Industrial DataOps platform Cognite Data Fusion, is hiring a Senior Account Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on Cognite's most valuable customers, typically 1-2 key accounts, and reports to the VP of the MENA region while working closely with the Sales and Account Management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Nurture long-term relationships with key customers and build a trusted advisor relationship with executive sponsors and IT stakeholders
• Align Cognite activities with each customer's business case and strategy, and drive expansions and renewals
• Develop value roadmaps and account plans, and work with Sales to close upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Communicate the product roadmap to customers and act as the voice of the customer to product management and community management
• Work with Field Marketing and Account Development on newsletters, webinars and events, and assess renewal risks for license subscriptions
• Collaborate with Cognite partners to maximise value generation

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience leading customer engagements as an Account Manager or similar, with a track record of expanding complex enterprise deals
• Understanding of account management methods such as segmentation, customer journey and customer health scoring
• Commercial experience in renewals and upselling, and proven experience selling at C-level in business and IT
• SaaS, data platforms and oil & gas background; experience with channel partners and high-growth scale-ups
• Fluent written and spoken English; verbal Arabic is an advantage

• Familiarity with Salesforce, MEDDPICC and Clari
