Senior Accountant (Arabic Speaker) – Government Sector

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who is fluent in Arabic and English to join our government finance team in Dubai. The role involves managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with local and international standards, and supporting the department’s financial planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and maintain financial records and accounting transactions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations and internal policies.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial statements, reconciliations and management reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and other financial reporting standards.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
