Senior Accountant – Fixed Term (Group Finance)

About the role

The Senior Accountant will act as the senior technical accounting resource within Group Finance, overseeing the books for all operating entities across the United Arab Emirates. This fixed‑term role is responsible for establishing accounting frameworks for new businesses and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, month‑end close and banking relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Set up accounting structures for newly launched entities, including chart of accounts, cost centres, opening balances and consolidation mapping.
• Own the general ledger for all entities, processing journals, accruals, provisions and period‑end adjustments, and delivering month‑end and year‑end close.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, manage intercompany balances, and perform monthly balance‑sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Review work of accountants, payables and receivables teams for accuracy, without authorising payments.
• Serve as the primary contact for group banking partners, manage daily cash position and prepare short‑term cash forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or CIMA) – part‑qualified candidates with substantial experience considered.
• Minimum 6 years (72 months) of relevant accounting experience.
