Senior Accountant

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead financial reporting, budgeting, VAT compliance and accounting operations for construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role will ensure accurate project cost tracking, cash‑flow management and adherence to financial controls and standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, management information systems (MIS) and management reports.
- Manage project accounting, general ledger, cost centres and work‑in‑progress (WIP) reporting.
- Handle VAT compliance, budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and project cost analysis.
- Monitor retentions, bank guarantees, performance bonds and perform reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, support audits and ensure IFRS compliance.
- Utilise ERP systems and accounting software to execute financial operations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- ACCA or CMA qualification preferred.
- Proven experience in the construction industry.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
