Senior Accountant

About the role

ABC Cargo UAE is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. The role involves overseeing the full accounting cycle and supporting tax compliance in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting, month‑end closing, and financial reporting.
• Handle bank, branch, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections reporting.
• Prepare cash flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
• Support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Coordinate audit requirements and maintain accurate financial documentation.

Required profile

• M.Com or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE accounting experience, including senior‑level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and UAE VAT/Corporate Tax.
• Experience in cargo, courier, logistics, or transportation is an advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficient ERP usage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
