About the role
The Senior Accountant – Stock Management will lead the accounting function for stock operations within our Dubai location. Reporting to finance leadership, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, supervise stock counts and drive analysis of inventory variances.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review accounts and financial analysis related to stock.
- Supervise daily stock counts and reconcile inventory records.
- Analyse stock variances and provide actionable insights.
- Lead and develop the stock department team.
- Manage discounting processes during Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).
- Collaborate with retail operations to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Required profile
- University degree from a reputable institution.
- 7‑8 years of corporate accounting experience.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
- Proven exposure to the retail industry.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles.
- Experience with stock variance analysis.
- Team leadership and management abilities.
- Understanding of discounting and promotional accounting.
