Senior Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis

About the role

flydubai is looking for a Senior Analyst in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) in Dubai. The role supports the financial planning, analysis and reporting functions of the airline and provides insight into financial performance, trends and forecasts to support decisions at all levels of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts based on historical performance, industry trends and strategic initiatives, and validate assumptions with department heads and senior management.
• Monitor budget performance and explain variances, and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports with variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Develop and maintain financial models, run scenario analysis and sensitivity testing, and provide ad-hoc analysis to senior management and business units.
• Take part in capital investment and cost optimization projects, and collaborate with other departments so financial plans align with operational goals.
• Design standard and ad-hoc reports, dashboards and analytics in FP&A systems, and perform data validation.
• Perform budgetary checks on purchase requisitions and procurement orders, and ensure administrative tools in FP&A applications meet their SLAs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (3+ years) in Finance, Financial Management, Economics or Cost Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Financial Analyst, ideally in FP&A or a related field.
• Fluent in English.
• Desirable: experience in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting, and 5-7 years of qualification years.

Required skills

• Desirable: FP&A systems such as Oracle EPM, Hyperion, Planning Analytics, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Alteryx.
• Desirable: ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.
• Competencies: customer focus, teamwork, effective communication, personal accountability, resilience and flexibility.
• Reads and complies with the company's ISR policies and completes ISR awareness sessions.
