Senior Communication Specialist

About the role

We are a newly established government organization in Abu Dhabi dedicated to advancing education through innovation and community engagement. We are looking for a Senior Communication Specialist to shape and execute our communication strategy, raise awareness of our initiatives, and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the organization’s vision.
• Manage internal communications to ensure timely and effective information flow.
• Lead public relations activities, building relationships with government entities, media outlets, and strategic partners.
• Handle media crises and create rapid response plans.
• Design and launch media and advertising campaigns to promote programs and community initiatives.
• Oversee creation and distribution of visual, written, and digital content for internal and external audiences.
• Maintain and update social media platforms, website, and internal portals with engaging material.
• Monitor media coverage, measure impact, and report on communication performance to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Media or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of communication experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to craft strategic messages and manage high‑profile media relations.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
