Senior Consultant – Internal Controls and Governance

About the role

Join EY's Financial Accounting Advisory Services team to help clients across the MENA region transition to the latest IFRS standards, implement internal control over financial reporting (ICFR), and develop robust corporate governance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage ICFR implementation projects, accounting standards research, and governance framework assessments.
• Prepare client‑specific deliverables, provide tailored training, and benchmark practices against industry standards.
• Maintain relationships with client management, identify risks, and ensure compliance with Quality & Risk Management guidelines.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive learning culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a Big 4 environment, preferably in ICFR, corporate governance, or board support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and relevant professional qualifications (CIA, ACCA, CRMA, GRCP, GRCA).
• Flawless communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and lead teams.

Required skills

• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Hands‑on experience with ICFR implementation and corporate governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards and accounting framework transitions.
