Senior Corrosion / Material Engineer (Offshore)

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Corrosion / Material Engineer to join its offshore team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on delivering corrosion engineering expertise for major oil and gas and petrochemical projects, ensuring material integrity and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply corrosion engineering knowledge to offshore oil and gas/petrochemical projects.
• Support construction and commissioning phases where required.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and related procedures.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation using MS Word and Excel.
• Collaborate with project management and multidisciplinary teams to address material and corrosion challenges.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of overall engineering experience.
• At least 6 years dedicated to corrosion engineering on major oil and gas or petrochemical projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline with a focus on corrosion, materials or metallurgy.
• Preferable experience in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) role.
