Senior Database Administrator

About the role

The Senior Database Administrator will manage, monitor and optimise databases that power Khalid Bin Sultan City's smart‑city and AI‑driven platforms. This hybrid position is based in Dubai with flexibility for remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and secure database environments across multiple platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Perform regular backups, recovery, high‑availability and disaster‑recovery operations.
• Monitor performance, tune queries and resolve complex database issues.
• Collaborate with technology, data and operations teams to design scalable data models and support application development.

Required profile

• Strong experience in production database administration and architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field; certifications such as MCDBA or Oracle DBA are a plus.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
