Senior Design Engineer – Cable Design (LV/MV/HV)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of low‑voltage (LV), medium‑voltage (MV) and high‑voltage (HV) cable solutions for major utility and infrastructure projects across the Gulf region.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop LV, MV and HV cable solutions that meet Gulf utility specifications.
• Support technical teams and respond to complex customer enquiries.
• Ensure all designs comply with international standards and stringent quality requirements.
• Lead and mentor a team of design engineers, fostering technical excellence.
• Collaborate with clients such as DEWA, SEWA, TAQA, EtihadWE, RTA and ADNOC.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum ten years of progressive experience in cable design, preferably within the GCC cable manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience with Gulf utility specifications and HV cable design (non‑negotiable).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, leadership and communication skills.

Required skills

• LV, MV and HV cable design.
• Proficiency with CYMCAP, ADVARIS and SAP ERP.
• Knowledge of IEC, ICEA, AEIC, IEEE, UL, BS EN, VDE and ASTM standards.
