Senior Electrical & Dry Utilities Design Engineer (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical and Dry Utilities Design Engineer who is fluent in Arabic and English to join our engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves designing and coordinating electrical infrastructure and dry‑utility systems for large‑scale projects across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Design MV/LV electrical distribution networks and associated utility infrastructure.
• Perform load demand calculations, cable sizing, voltage‑drop analysis and power system studies.
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), utility layout drawings, design reports and technical specifications.
• Design street‑lighting solutions using DIALux/DIALux EVO.
• Coordinate with utility authorities such as TAQA (ADDC/AADC) and support substation planning.
• Conduct power system studies with ETAP and/or Siemens SINCAL.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams covering roads, wet utilities and telecommunications.
• Review technical submissions, drawings and consultant deliverables throughout concept, detailed design and IFC stages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in dry utilities/electrical infrastructure design, preferably on UAE projects.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (mandatory).
• Experience working with UAE utility authorities and their standards.

Required skills
