Senior Internal Audit Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Internal Audit Manager to lead the internal audit function for a well‑established insurance organization in the UAE. The role focuses on developing risk‑based audit strategies, strengthening governance, and providing independent assurance to senior management and the Board Audit Committee.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, risk‑based annual audit plan aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives and risk appetite.
• Lead the internal audit team, overseeing the full audit lifecycle from planning to follow‑up, ensuring compliance with Global Internal Audit Standards.
• Evaluate internal controls, risk management processes and governance frameworks, delivering practical recommendations.
• Present audit findings and remediation progress to the Board Audit Committee and senior management.
• Leverage data analytics and audit technology to improve coverage and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional audit qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CPA) and at least 10 years of relevant experience, primarily in the insurance sector.
• Proven ability to lead audits, mentor teams and build relationships with senior executives.
• Strong analytical, communication and report‑writing skills with high integrity and discretion.
