Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

As a Senior Internal Auditor you will lead audit engagements across Agthia’s entities, ensuring that internal controls and risk management practices meet the highest standards. You will work closely with business units, provide actionable insights, and mentor junior auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit fieldwork in line with the approved audit plan, internal audit standards, and company policies.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across business processes.
• Prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations and minimal revisions.
• Review working papers for accuracy, completeness, and proper cross‑referencing.
• Participate in audit planning, opening and closing meetings with stakeholders.
• Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit action plans.
• Coach and mentor junior auditors on audit techniques and best practices.
• Contribute to special projects and consultancy reviews as requested by audit management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in internal audit.
• Professional qualification such as CPA or CIA (preferred).
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and audit methodologies.
• Experience with EDP audit techniques and audit management systems.
• Proficiency in audit tools such as ACL and ePortal.
