Senior Logistics Officer

About the role

The Senior Logistics Officer manages the day-to-day operations of logistics, ensuring smooth workflow and effective team supervision so that all materials arrive at the right time and in the right place. The role covers export and import documentation, customs and government authority submissions, and coordination with customers, sales, production and the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and follow up on Purchase Requisition Notes (PRNs) for approval.
• Prepare all shipping documentation for export and import shipments and service supplier agreements.
• Manage E-Mirsal documentation for imports and exports and submit documents to Dubai Customs and government authorities.
• Handle document legalization for exports and duty exemption documents for imports, including dangerous goods chemicals and clearance under Dubai Municipality rules.
• Prepare the Arabic Certificate of Origin and COO from the Dubai Chamber.
• Keep communication clear between customers, sales, PMD and production to prepare and execute the weekly loading schedule.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate logistics activities in line with order confirmations for various projects.
• Ensure HSE policies and procedures are followed and maintain company interests with clients and third parties.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the direct line manager.

Required profile

• Diploma in a relevant subject such as business administration, logistics, commerce or store management.
• Demonstrated logistical experience with a local or international organization or company.
• At least 3 years of work experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation or a related function in the same or similar role in the UAE.
