Senior Transportation Modeller

About the role

Al Turath Engineering Consultant LLC (TEC) is looking for an experienced Senior Transport Modeller to join its Transportation Planning team in Dubai. The role covers transport modelling for major masterplans, Level 3 Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) and RTA road infrastructure projects, delivering high-quality technical work in line with RTA standards. It is a full-time, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake and coordinate strategic and operational transport modelling for masterplans, TIS and RTA road projects.
• Prepare and review technical reports, modelling methodologies, traffic assessment outputs and presentations according to RTA requirements.
• Coordinate with RTA and other authorities on technical submissions, modelling reviews and approvals.
• Supervise, guide and review junior transport modellers and engineers, ensuring compliance with technical standards and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver transportation planning and infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in transport planning and modelling, preferably in the UAE.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning or a related field.
• RTA-approved Transport Modeller with proven experience of Dubai's modelling procedures and approval processes.
• Demonstrated experience in Level 3 TIS, major masterplan studies and RTA road infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical writing skills; confident communicator able to present to clients and authorities.

Required skills

• Advanced PTV Visum; practical experience in PTV Vissim, SIDRA, Synchro and HCS+.
• Knowledge of RTA strategic transport models: travel demand forecasting, network coding, traffic assignment, scenario assessment and interpretation of outputs.
• Understanding of transport planning, traffic engineering, master planning and transport impact assessment.
• Advantageous: GIS (QGIS or ArcGIS), CUBE software, and scripting languages such as Python, VBA or VBScript.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM (half day), with weekends off. Apply through LinkedIn or by sending your CV to the company.
