Senior Manager - Bid & Cost Management

About the role

Sanad Aerotech is hiring a Senior Manager - Bid & Cost Management for its Aviation & Aero Engine MRO division in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Director - Commercial & Sales, the role oversees Bid Management and Cost & Profitability Control, driving strategic direction, operational governance and continuous improvement across tender processes and cost management. It works closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership on complex negotiations and decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direction and oversight for bid and cost management teams, set KPIs, lead talent development and foster continuous improvement
• Oversee end-to-end bid processes, ensure governance compliance, coordinate stakeholders, review commercial proposals and support negotiations
• Analyse MRO operations and contract performance to find cost-saving and profitability improvements, and ensure accurate financial modelling and reporting
• Act as main interface with internal departments and external partners, leading collaborative meetings and aligning commercial strategy
• Monitor key financial metrics, manage risk and opportunity identification, prepare reports for senior leadership and ensure compliance with financial controls

Required profile

• Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience in commercial management within the aviation or aero engine MRO industry
• Minimum 5 years in leadership roles managing specialist teams
• Deep expertise in bid and tender management, financial modelling, cost control and profitability improvement
• Strong strategic leadership, commercial acumen, analytical skills and ability to collaborate across functions
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and intercultural intelligence for an international environment
