Senior Merchandise Operations Executive (Contract)

About the role

The Senior Merchandise Operations Executive will serve as the primary liaison between buying, planning, trade, logistics and other cross‑functional teams, ensuring a smooth product lifecycle from receipt through launch. This contract role is based onsite in Dubai and focuses on coordinating merchandise operations, managing vendor relationships and supporting timely product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with buying teams, brand partners, third‑party vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Support the planning team to ensure correct products and quantities are received from vendors.
• Maintain regular communication with vendors to follow up on operational and compliance matters.
• Track and investigate vendor chargebacks, communicate findings and assist in resolving discrepancies.
• Record and monitor vendor compliance issues, reconcile monthly vendor charges and damages.
• Coordinate the return of damaged products and produce seasonal damage reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in merchandise operations, supply chain or logistics within a retail environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to use data to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple priorities.
