Senior Operator (SCE)

About the role

The Senior Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring and controlling assigned plant units to ensure products meet specifications while adhering to HSE standards and maximizing yield.

Key responsibilities

• Operate control panels and related machinery safely, adjusting speeds, temperatures, pressures and flow rates during start‑ups, shutdowns and emergencies.
• Monitor instruments, diagnose abnormal situations, and initiate operational adjustments to maintain product quality and plant efficiency.
• Supervise routine equipment checks, arrange servicing, and ensure maintenance activities are synchronized with plant operations.
• Authorize work permits, monitor contractor activities and enforce safety regulations.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies and participate in emergency response teams.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or secondary school certificate with relevant vocational training.
• Minimum 6 years of plant operations experience in a large oil and gas industrial facility.
• Ability to work in A/C environments and occasional exposure to heat, humidity and dust.

Required skills

• Control panel operation and Integrated Control System utilization.
• Monitoring and adjusting process parameters (speed, temperature, pressure, flow).
• Chemical handling, dosing and solution preparation following HSE procedures.
• Equipment inspection, troubleshooting and coordination of maintenance activities.
