Senior Project Manager – Data Center

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre programme. You will be responsible for overall project delivery, governance and stakeholder engagement across all phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) with accountability for safety, schedule, cost, quality and delivery outcomes.
• Act as the primary senior interface with the Employer, chairing governance forums and managing escalations.
• Establish and maintain a disciplined project governance framework, including reporting cadence, controls, dashboards and decision logs.
• Integrate and manage a multi‑disciplinary PMC team covering construction, technical, commercial, planning, HSE and commissioning.
• Develop and execute the Project Execution Plan in line with Employer standards and global design requirements.
• Identify risks early, protect commissioning milestones and implement schedule recovery strategies.
• Oversee FIDIC contract administration, ensuring impartial determinations while protecting commercial and risk positions.
• Embed HSE leadership across all stakeholders, championing a zero‑harm culture.
• Drive a quality‑first approach, coordinating with the Engineer of Record and Commissioning Agent for seamless integration and handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience delivering hyperscale or enterprise data centre campuses in phased, live‑environment conditions.
• Proven track record leading large, complex PMC or PMO assignments for mission‑critical infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in programme governance, risk management and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Experience operating under FIDIC contracts with independent professional judgment.
• Ability to manage multi‑package delivery environments with numerous consultants, contractors and specialist vendors.
