Senior Quantity Surveyor – Site Supervision

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with site supervision expertise to lead cost management, contract administration, and on‑site supervision for large‑scale construction projects in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all site activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for assigned projects.
• Administer contracts, including review, negotiation, and enforcement of contractual terms.
• Process variation orders, change requests, and claims with thorough documentation and analysis.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost optimisation.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare comprehensive progress reports for stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveying staff, fostering professional development.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in quantity surveying.
• At least 8 years of direct site supervision experience on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, construction law, and standard forms of contracts.
• Proven ability to analyse financial data, prepare forecasts, and manage project budgets effectively.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in cost estimation software.
• Experience with Primavera P6 project management tool.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
