Senior Relationship Manager - Manufacturing

About the role

Commercial Bank of Dubai, a bank operating in the UAE for over 50 years and recognised as the number one bank in the UAE on the Forbes list of The World's Best Banks 2022, is looking for a Senior Relationship Manager for manufacturing clients. The role covers the professional management and maintenance of institutional banking relations in coordination with the Institutional Banking Unit Head.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow an assigned portfolio of existing institutional clients in line with business growth targets
• Solicit and acquire new institutional clients in line with approved corporate strategies for assets, liabilities, trade and treasury sales
• Negotiate credit lines in line with the bank's underwriting standards and risk-adjusted targets, preparing detailed credit proposals
• Visit clients regularly to monitor and generate business, recording visits in call reports
• Plan accounts with the Client Service Team, cross-sell products and refer business to Wealth and Consumer Banking
• Ensure timely and accurate credit administration through annual reviews and monitoring of financials and covenants
• Manage a team of Assistant Relationship Managers, Support Officers and Tumoo7, setting and measuring targets and providing training and performance reviews
• Comply with internal audit requirements and contribute to corporate business strategy planning

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Management/Administration
• 10 years of experience in corporate/institutional banking overall, including at least 5 years in the UAE market covering Dubai (manufacturing clients preferred)
• Ideally exposure to one or more emerging markets
