Senior Resident Engineer - Infrastructure (Roads & Bridges)

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Senior Resident Engineer to lead the construction supervision of infrastructure projects, including roads and bridges, on a high-profile community development project in Dubai. The role covers managing the engineering scope, schedules, change management and closeout while keeping the project on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the scope of engineering work, schedules, change management and closeout for the assigned project elements, and monitor progress against schedule and budget.
• Identify and document changes in scope, review and approve change orders, and notify project management and others of all changes.
• Lead the construction supervision team for infrastructure works on the community development project.
• Coordinate with authorities and agencies for approvals and handover, and liaise with them to ensure smooth execution.
• Interface with contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with the contract and deliverables.
• Review work produced to ensure codes, standards and procedures are followed and quality is acceptable.
• Maintain client expectations and update progress periodically.
• Ensure Parsons' rights and obligations are fulfilled.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 20+ years of overall work experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects (roads, bridges and utilities) within the UAE.
• Recent and substantial experience on community development projects is a must, preferably in Dubai.
• Knowledge of NOC procedures, commissioning and government authority specifications and procedures in Dubai.
