Senior Specialist Business Development

About the role

EDGE Commercial is looking for a Senior Specialist Business Development to support market development, opportunity identification and customer engagement across its advanced technology and defence portfolio. The role is based in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new market and business development opportunities.
• Conduct market, customer and competitor research.
• Support opportunity qualification and pipeline management.
• Prepare customer presentations, business cases and market assessments.
• Support customer engagements, events and strategic partnerships.
• Coordinate with technical and commercial teams to progress opportunities.
• Maintain CRM data and pipeline reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Defence or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Commercial, Strategy or related roles.
• Experience in the defence sector; defence, aerospace, advanced technology or security sector experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of one or more EDGE clusters, or experience with similar systems: Platforms & Systems, Missiles & Weapons, Secure Intelligence Systems, Advanced Sensing, Homeland Security and Technology and Industrialization.
• Experience in one or more of EDGE's key capabilities, including Platforms & Systems, Missiles & Weapons, Secure Intelligence Systems, Advanced Sensing, Homeland Security or Technology.

Required skills

• Knowledge of technologies such as C5ISR systems, multi-intelligence fusion, sensing and intelligence (EW, Radar, EO/IR, SAR, AIS, acoustics, GEOINT, OSINT), AI, platforms, autonomy, missiles, weapons, multi-domain systems and tactical systems.
• Strong analytical, research, communication and presentation skills.
