Senior Specialist – Commercial & Business Development, Food Hub

About the role

The Senior Specialist – Business Development will drive commercial growth for the Abu Dhabi Food Hub by identifying, developing and converting business opportunities across the UAE food ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with target sectors and commercial strategy.
• Build and maintain a qualified prospect pipeline across food trading, FMCG, wholesale, distribution, retail and HORECA.
• Qualify prospects based on fit, infrastructure needs, product relevance, investment potential and timing.
• Support preparation and negotiation of commercial proposals, LOIs and related documentation.
• Coordinate prospect requirements with Operations, Finance, Legal, Marketing and other internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Food Business, Economics, Commerce or related field.
• Approximately 6‑8 years of progressive experience in business development, commercial sales, key account management or leasing within the UAE food market.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE food and FMCG ecosystem, including F&V, wholesale, distribution, retail and HORECA.
• Established professional network and relationships within the food sector.

• Proficiency with CRM systems and business‑development tools.
• Analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to prepare and present commercial proposals and business cases.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic advantageous.
