Senior Specialist Consultant – Periodontist

About the role

A prestigious Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist / Consultant – Periodontist to join its dental team. The role involves delivering advanced periodontal care, managing complex cases, and supporting the facility’s commitment to clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat and follow‑up patients with periodontal and related oral health conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and perform both non‑surgical and surgical periodontal procedures.
• Carry out periodontal regenerative procedures and soft‑tissue management where indicated.
• Provide periodontal assessment for dental implant cases and manage long‑term maintenance.
• Collaborate with general dentists, prosthodontists, orthodontists, oral surgeons and other specialists.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in teaching, supervision and mentoring of junior dental professionals.

Required profile

• Recognised dental degree (BDS, DDS, DMD or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Periodontology.
• Significant post‑specialty clinical experience in periodontology, including management of moderate to advanced disease.
• Demonstrated expertise in surgical and non‑surgical periodontal procedures.
• Experience with periodontal regenerative techniques and implant‑related care is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and interpersonal skills.
