Senior Tax Audit Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Tax Audit Specialist to lead our tax compliance, international tax planning, VAT management, transfer pricing, FATCA, and e‑invoicing initiatives. The role demands a seasoned professional who can operate independently while collaborating with finance, legal, compliance, and operations teams across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including VAT filings and corporate tax returns.
• Ensure adherence to UAE VAT regulations and international tax obligations.
• Lead tax audits conducted by regulatory authorities and external auditors.
• Review cross‑border transactions for withholding tax, permanent establishment risk, and treaty benefits.
• Oversee Transfer Pricing documentation and OECD‑aligned intercompany reviews.
• Maintain FATCA reporting compliance where applicable.
• Drive e‑invoicing implementation and ongoing regulatory alignment.
• Support tax strategic initiatives, process automation, and transformation projects.
• Conduct tax risk assessments and propose mitigation measures.
• Liaise with tax authorities, external consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field.
• Professional qualification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent).
• 5–7 years of experience in tax, audit or advisory roles with a focus on international taxation.
