Service Engineer Mechanical Propulsion Products

About the role

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking a Service Engineer specialized in mechanical propulsion products to join its Global Customer Support team in Dubai. The engineer will install, commission, and provide technical support for propulsion and related systems on vessels worldwide, ensuring high‑quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer call‑outs, both planned and ad‑hoc, to perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
• Conduct on‑site defect investigations, resolve operational problems, and support the Service Manager in improving service techniques.
• Travel globally and work independently on‑site with minimal assistance.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, daily work reports, and detailed service reports.
• Coordinate with other engineering functions and third‑party contractors as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical proficiency gained through experience or internal training.
• Hands‑on experience with marine propulsion systems and a solid understanding of related products and applications.
• Willingness to travel internationally and provide after‑hours call‑out service.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
