Specialist Cathodic Protection Engineer

About the role

The Specialist Cathodic Protection Engineer will work closely with the Project and Integrity teams to lead all technical aspects of cathodic protection (CP) systems throughout the EPC phase of offshore projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, test and commission CP systems for well casings, pipelines, storage tanks, process vessels and reinforced concrete structures.
• Review and approve vendor deliverables, including design documents, material datasheets, FAT/SAT reports and commissioning procedures.
• Coordinate CP activities with the project schedule, contractors, and other disciplines (electrical, civil, mechanical).
• Supervise on‑site CP installation, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and handover, ensuring compliance with AMPP, ISO and DNV standards.
• Provide technical solutions for design changes, site issues and unexpected corrosion challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Corrosion Science, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of CP experience in oil & gas, with at least 10 years in a senior technical authority role.
• AMPP NACE Level III Certification or equivalent.
• Full knowledge of AMPP and ISO standards for cathodic protection.
