Specialist Family Medicine

About the role

The Specialist Family Medicine Physician provides high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centred care within SEHA Clinics, supporting the Consultant Physician and contributing to the supervision and training of junior medical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients according to best practice standards under the supervision of the Consultant Physician.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients, and ensure accurate, timely documentation.
• Supervise junior medical staff, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and coordinate referrals and investigations.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, audit processes, and incident reporting.
• Promote and participate in clinical research, publications, and the education of junior staff.

Required profile

• Board‑certified in Family Medicine.
• Tier 1: No additional experience required post‑board certification; Tier 2: Minimum 2 years clinical experience post‑qualification; Tier 3: Minimum 3 years clinical experience as a Specialist.
• UAE nationals and residents in HAAD‑accredited programs may be considered without additional experience.
