Specialist Risk Management

About the role

The Specialist Risk Management professional will support the Group Fraud Risk & Investigations function by conducting investigations into fraud, bribery, corruption, data breaches and other misconduct incidents, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive investigation cases, perform risk assessments and determine immediate loss‑mitigation actions.
• Gather evidence, interview suspects and witnesses, and coordinate with Internal Audit, IT, HR, Legal and Compliance.
• Analyse findings, conduct root‑cause analysis, quantify financial exposure and produce detailed investigation reports with recommendations.
• File CBUAE STR/SAR reports on time and respond to regulator requests within prescribed timelines.
• Provide guidance and on‑the‑job training to junior colleagues and promote a culture of risk awareness.
• Identify emerging fraud trends, contribute to fraud awareness material and stay updated on banking fraud techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law, Finance, Business or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fraud investigations, preferably within the banking sector.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, report‑writing and communication skills.
