Staff Data Scientist

About the role

The Staff Data Scientist will lead the creation of AI/ML solutions that enable data‑driven decision‑making across customer engagement, marketing, risk and product functions. This senior position requires strong analytical expertise, hands‑on experience with open‑source technologies and the ability to deliver end‑to‑end models in batch and real‑time environments.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business problems into analytical use‑cases, define outcomes and develop appropriate algorithms.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather requirements and with Data Engineers to build data pipelines.
• Deploy complex ML models to production, ensuring reproducibility, coding standards and peer‑review.
• Drive innovation by enhancing existing solutions and designing new AI/ML applications.
• Communicate with stakeholders, support ad‑hoc MIS development and streamline reporting processes.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in analytics or data science, with 3‑4 years in banking analytics.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with end‑to‑end ML model deployment.
• Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning, time‑series, optimization and customer analytics.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
