Information Technology Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Information Technology Coordinator to join our team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. You will provide first‑level technical support and ensure the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level technical support to end‑users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Manage and monitor the IT ticketing system, prioritising requests and tracking resolution progress.
• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software applications and peripherals across the organisation.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates and patches to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of IT equipment, licences and software assets.
• Coordinate with IT team members and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, help‑desk or a similar technical support role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of network fundamentals and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with IT ticketing and asset‑management systems.
• Familiarity with hardware installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Experience with Active Directory and user account management.
• Knowledge of cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
• Understanding of virtualization technologies and IT security principles.
