About the role
The Steward supports the Food & Beverage division by ensuring all dishware, kitchen utensils and service areas are cleaned to Rixos standards. The role requires flexibility to work across different sub‑departments and to maintain a high level of hygiene and guest service.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and wash dishes, pots, pans and other kitchen utensils according to performance standards.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, keep work areas tidy and manage waste according to the hotel’s schedules.
- Monitor operating supplies, reduce spoilage and assist with inventory of equipment.
- Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and report any issues to supervisors.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior stewarding experience preferred.
- Physical stamina, reliability and strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work flexibly across departments.
Required skills
- Knowledge of HACCP procedures and their purpose.
- Proficiency in operating dishwashing machines and using appropriate cleaning chemicals.
