About the role
The Storekeeper is responsible for controlling and participating in the receipt, storage, issue, dispatch and safe custody of equipment, spare parts and consumable items. The role ensures materials are received according to purchase orders and maintains accurate store records.
Key responsibilities
- Physically check and verify received materials against purchase orders, report discrepancies and manage storage.
- Issue materials to users, process returns, and handle transfers while updating ERP data.
- Monitor shelf life, conduct regular stock checks, and maintain housekeeping of store facilities.
- Operate forklift as needed and assist with loading and unloading of materials.
Required profile
- Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in a relevant field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in inventory and stock maintenance within a large industrial plant, preferably oil and gas.
- Ability to work in an A/C environment and occasional exposure to heat, humidity and dust during site visits.
