STP Erection & Commissioning Supervisor (Short-Term)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced STP Erection and Commissioning Supervisor to lead the on-site installation, testing and commissioning of package sewage treatment plants. The role will be short-term and involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil works in line with project specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all erection and commissioning activities performed by the EPC contractor, ensuring compliance with design and quality requirements.
• Review and approve contractor method statements, inspection and test plans, and commissioning procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and HSE checks.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, clients, consultants and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Track progress of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil works and report status.
• Verify equipment installation, alignment and pre-commissioning checks before start-up.
• Witness functional tests, performance trials and final commissioning of reactors, filtration and control systems.
• Close punch lists, approve as-built documentation and support final hand-over.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in STP erection and commissioning, preferably on package units.
• Proven experience working with EPC contractors on water or wastewater projects, especially in the Gulf region.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, QA/QC procedures and project documentation.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
