Supply & Inventory Planner – Global After‑Sales (UAE National)

About the role

The Supply & Inventory Planner is responsible for controlling inventory valued at around USD 100 million for Al Futtaim Automotive’s Global After‑Sales team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role balances inventory costs with service levels, handling procurement, stock optimisation, logistics and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders, ensure timely transmission to suppliers, monitor back‑orders and manage risk of stock run‑out.
• Review inventory policies, monitor aged, excess and obsolete stock, forecast needs and dispose of dead stock.
• Create advance shipping notifications, support inbound logistics, manage logistics payments and coordinate customs and insurance documentation.
• Develop dashboards, lead Kaizen projects, advise on inventory control actions and ensure on‑time, under‑budget delivery of initiatives.
• Continuously review system parameters, alerts and risk indicators to improve service levels and productivity.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of supply chain and inventory management experience, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving and process‑improvement capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Experience using ERP systems, especially SAP.
