Tax Associate

About the role

The Tax Associate will join Mazrui International’s Tax Compliance team in Abu Dhabi, supporting the preparation and filing of a range of UAE tax obligations. The role offers exposure to corporate tax, transfer pricing and VAT processes within a diversified holding group.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file UAE Corporate Tax returns, ensuring compliance with FTA regulations and deadlines.
• Lead Transfer Pricing compliance, including data collection for Local and Master Files, TP disclosure forms, related‑party analysis and benchmarking studies.
• Draft and review intercompany and service level agreements to align with group policies and UAE TP rules.
• Compile and submit monthly VAT returns, including e‑invoicing requirements, and support Excise, Withholding and Real Estate tax filings.
• Develop and maintain tax audit‑readiness systems, manage tax data repositories and act as primary contact with tax authorities.
• Maintain tax portal accounts, track deadlines, and produce the Master Tax Status Report.
• Conduct independent tax research and stay updated on UAE and GCC tax law changes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field.
• Strong knowledge of UAE tax legislation, particularly Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing and VAT.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple business units.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
