Team Leader – Indirect Procurement

About the role

We are seeking a Team Leader for Indirect Procurement to drive the full Procure-to-Pay cycle for CAPEX, OPEX and services within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role combines strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, logistics oversight and compliance management to ensure seamless delivery and payment to vendors.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑End Purchasing: process daily purchase requests, issue RFQs, benchmark prices and create/release SAP purchase orders for indirect spend.
• Sourcing & Negotiation: identify new suppliers, negotiate commercial terms and manage freight and forwarder nominations.
• Logistics & Delivery: coordinate international shipments, obtain MOH approvals, handle customs clearance and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Quality Assurance: manage GMP‑QMS activities including Change Controls, CAPA, Deviations and ISO 14001 compliance.
• Internal Controls: design and test controls to align procurement with corporate risk matrices and support internal audits.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: maintain strong vendor relationships and collaborate with Finance for timely payments.
• Reporting & Analytics: produce monthly KPIs on open PRs, PO volume and cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years of procurement experience, preferably in pharma or manufacturing.
• Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical) or operational background combined with an MBA or pharmaceutical studies.
• Hands‑on experience with pharma machinery, CAPEX/OPEX projects and QMS processes.
• Proven ability to lead and train an indirect procurement team.
