Technical Manager - Commercial Vehicles

About the role

The Technical Manager will provide technical leadership and product expertise for Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) across both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicle (EV) platforms, ensuring suitability for the UAE/GCC market.

Key responsibilities

• Support evaluation and development of new vehicle models, variants and technical specifications based on market requirements.
• Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking covering vehicle specifications, technology, performance and positioning.
• Coordinate with OEMs/principals and suppliers on technical specifications, product improvements and modifications.
• Support product homologation, testing and regulatory compliance for the UAE/GCC market.
• Provide technical input for new product launches and support sales, after‑sales, parts and other business functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automobile or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on technical/product experience with Light Commercial Vehicles, preferably on both ICE and EV platforms.
• Experience in product development, evaluation, market research and competitor benchmarking.
• Exposure to working with automotive OEMs/principals and knowledge of the UAE/GCC automotive market is an advantage.
