Technical Product Owner – Baggage Management (Ground Handling)

About the role

Emirates Group IT is seeking a Technical Product Owner to lead the Baggage Management solution for ground handling operations. You will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and multiple engineering teams, ensuring the product delivers value to airline and airport customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own and refine the product backlog, defining story content, acceptance criteria and sign‑off for all features, functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Prioritise technical debt, BAU activities, spikes and ceremonies across sprints, aligning with capacity constraints.
• Prepare and present contributions for PI demos and participate in PI Planning and other product management meetings.
• Maintain feature quality and integrity, flagging risks and dependencies to the product portfolio backlog.
• Define and track metrics that measure the success and performance of delivered work.
• Collaborate with other Product Owners to build a community of practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile environment.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Understanding of aviation or ground‑handling processes is a plus.
