Tendering Officer – HVAC Duct Estimation

About the role

The Tendering Officer will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC duct manufacturing projects. You will work closely with production, sales and project teams to ensure estimates align with design specifications and manufacturing capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications and perform detailed quantity take‑offs for ducts, fittings and accessories.
• Prepare cost estimates covering raw materials (GI, PI, MS, aluminium, SS, etc.) and accessories.
• Verify compliance with SMACNA standards, project specifications and local authority requirements.
• Identify potential design or constructability issues early and coordinate with production for feasibility.
• Track estimation versus actual costs, maintain a database of past estimates and continuously improve accuracy.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in HVAC duct manufacturing or estimation, with mandatory experience in a duct fabrication factory.
• Strong understanding of SMACNA standards and local authority requirements.
