Valve and Electric Actuator Field Technician

About the role

Flowserve is seeking a skilled Field Technician to install, commission, monitor, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, seals, valves, and electric actuators at customer sites across the oil & gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, and wastewater sectors. You will work directly with customers, providing real‑time technical support and ensuring equipment operates reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to in‑person service calls and assess mechanical problems promptly.
• Collaborate with customer personnel and lead work crews as needed.
• Manage the full repair cycle: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and re‑assembly.
• Install equipment on schedule and verify start‑up performance.
• Monitor ongoing maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment.
• Train customers on proper operation and maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with Flowserve repair centers, customer service, and sales engineering.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, job quotes, performed work, and time‑and‑material records.

Required profile

• Experience installing mechanical equipment.
• Hands‑on experience repairing pumps, valves, seals, and actuators.
• Ability to work side‑by‑side with customers in industrial environments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
