About the role
A Vulnerability Assessment Analyst identifies, assesses, and mitigates security weaknesses in an organization’s information systems and networks. The role uses a mix of automated tools and manual testing to proactively improve the security posture.
Key responsibilities
- Perform regular and ad‑hoc vulnerability scans across systems and networks using automated tools and manual techniques.
- Analyze scan results to differentiate false positives, exploitable vulnerabilities, and non‑critical issues.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards that include risk ratings and potential impacts.
- Collaborate with IT teams to recommend and follow up on remediation and mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence, and research new assessment tools and best practices.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.
- Ability to interpret vulnerability data and produce clear, actionable reports.
