Warehouse Manager - Operations (Retail)

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Warehouse Manager for a retail client in Dubai. The manager oversees storage, distribution and inventory management, ensuring goods are received, stored and dispatched efficiently while keeping a high standard of safety and productivity. The role leads a team of warehouse staff and works closely with procurement, logistics and retail store managers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse activities: receiving, storing, packing and dispatching goods, and coordinate with retail stores for timely, accurate order fulfilment.
• Maintain inventory control procedures, minimize discrepancies and keep stock levels accurate.
• Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, task delegation and coaching.
• Monitor stock levels, run regular stock takes and cycle counts, and handle stock discrepancies, returns and defective goods.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, enforce safety procedures and oversee security to protect the warehouse.
• Identify improvements, use warehouse management systems (WMS) to optimise space and picking/packing efficiency, and collaborate with logistics and procurement.
• Report on warehouse performance, stock levels and productivity to senior management and analyse data to spot trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field (preferred but not always required depending on experience).
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the retail industry (apparel and non-apparel).
• Proven experience leading a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Required skills

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and warehouse software.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, multitasking and prioritisation.
• Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
