Work Verification Engineer

About the role

The Work Verification Engineer is responsible for measuring and verifying contractor quantities and progress to support monthly payment certification. The role ensures accurate field surveys, joint surveys and progress reporting in line with contract requirements, while maintaining a strong safety culture on site.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and uphold safety culture during all field verification activities.
• Follow established procedures and collaborate with the construction team to guarantee quality throughout the project.
• Conduct field and joint surveys to capture contractor quantities and progress, producing interim month‑end reports.
• Review and measure quantities to generate precise monthly reports that form the basis for payment recommendations.
• Support the capture of work‑related information for inclusion in the Book of Knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or a related engineering discipline (minimum).
• At least 2 years of experience in a construction environment; preferably 5 years in quantity surveying and site verification.
• RICS membership or equivalent professional certification, or progression towards such certification.
